For this project, I am delighted to be partnering with Outspiration to take crafting outdoors for a change and try two options for decorating some plain store bought wooden birdhouses. Pretty birdies deserve pretty houses right! Before trying the painting option I had to first get a desire to decorate the first birdhouse with my pyrography set out of my system. Into the wood I etched an inspirational message for the birdies and on the sides some gorgeous flowers. For the painted option I went with signature MollyMoo polkadots. You can never have enough polka dots in your life!

It's birdie time! Meet our exotic summer flock with spectacular plumages - pom pom and bead birdies to add a pop of colour to bedroom doors or playrooms. The twittering gals are so simple to make with cardboard circles or store bought pom pom makers. Aren't they darling!! :)
Two of my favorite things in the world, Molly's drawings and cardboard, have come together for this simple activity. There is nothing I love more than to see Molly sprawled across the floor doodling away with paper and pencils in hand. Usually she draws in miniature, with ooodles of delicious detail, but last weekend she very uniquely created full page boy and girl characters, the perfect characters for kid made puppets. This guy she named "tom" :)
Make delicate and elegant papier mache bowls from simple egg carton pulp! I've been wanting to make papier mache pulp from egg cartons for so so long, and waited until I had enough of those delicious purple Cadbury egg cartons to give it a try. So over the long Easter weekend I made good on my plan and started experimenting. Read on and take a peak at the step by step photo tutorial and start saving your egg cartons now!
In a lightbulb moment the other day I decided to make matchbox beds for Molly's Lego Minifigures - she had been nagging me for a while to do something to help out the little guys and matchboxes were the perfect size. So with a little Lego paper quilt and felt sheet I had Lego matchbox beds made in the blink of an eye.... no muss, no fuss :)
A last minute post before the arrival of the Easter Bunny this weekend. I made up a little A6/postcard size notelet for Mr Bunny to leave with Molly's egg and it was so cute I decided to share it for you to use too if you would like
This paper flower pinwheel will add a touch of spring to any room or whimsy to your garden. Such a simple "no-muss-no-fuss" papercraft it would be perfect for kid-made birthday pressie, a mother's day keepsake or teacher appreciate gift!
Make the cutest little pocket bunnies with just wine corks, felt scraps and a black marker - a quick no-muss-no-fuss craft to keep little hands busy for the Easter Holidays. I thought of these little guys when I was tossing and turning at 4am this morning - I just had to make and get them out of my system! They're now in the hands of Miss Molly, adventuring on Easter Island :)

As you can see my love affair with natural cardboard continues!! I took a rare day away from the office today to spend at home crafting in silence. I LOVE having those rare few hours to myself... not having to talk, not having to listen. Out of the silence a little cardboard lamb was born - who said sheep can't be square :)
We're getting ready for the visit of the Easter Bunny here - egg cozies at the ready!! I actually made this felt easter bunny last year but he's only come out to play now..... and he's brought his own carrot :)
It's 'officially' the first day of spring here, one of my favourite times of year, so I love celebrating Easter with fun crafts and decorations! Here are 14 of my favorite Easter pins from this week's hunting gathering. It would be fun to have a craft day and make them all with Molly and her lovely pals! click through to see all
