design finds on mollymooI've been a bit MIA on MollyMoo for the past two weeks, every now and then I loose a bit of my mojo and need to step back and recharge the batteries a bit. Did you miss me ? :) I'll endeavor to get back on track with more crafty fun next week - I have three papier mache balloons drying on the windowsill since lastnight and a few toilet rolls lined up with intent!!! so all is looking promising!! In the meanwhile, here's a Friday Finds roundup of the internet this week, what cleverness caught my eye

It was MissMolly's birthday two weeks ago and her wish was to spend the day with her closest buddies, no big party... phew!! Getting her to stick to 'what to do' on the day wasn't quiet so easy however - she was flip flopping for weeks! So the week before her special day I popped her in the car and we drove around to visit a few places, sampled the delights of a few dessert menus (my favourite part) and eureka we had a plan.... "I defiantly want to do that mom". Looking through the cute photos I had captured on my iphone later I thought it might be really sweet to create a little keepsake photo book for each of the girls, a little album that they can return to in years to come when they're super mature and feeling nostalgic. when Molly handed them out this week the messages of delight that came through from the girls and their moms were great - they loved having 'their own little book'. I will defiantly be doing this again so Molly will have a series of mini books for those special milestones ahead. Happy Days!! Links to recommended online providers at the end of the article

Here are six of my favourite found ideas for adding a perfect little touch of character to children's shoes - your kids with L.O.V.E you for it :)
I'm on a bit of a mission to broaden what I do here with Molly, trying more art related projects and experiments as well as 3D crafting, ie a few more instant gratification projects to keep her engaged and wanting more! Our recent forage into art experimenting was Dye Art, without the messy inks and stuff. Using just coffee filters, her brightly coloured felt tipped markers and a water sprayer here's what we made. Suitable for kids age 5+ this activity combines art, simple science, learning and craft
I am currently crushing on the work of Roxy Marj on Etsy. As she puts it herself she designed things for children that adults want to steal! Click through to see two of my favourite design finds from her store - and you'll see what I mean!
