Inspired by the 101 Kids Activities book I have been gushing about here on MollyMoo we tried our hand at making with plastic bottles at the weekend and made a simple rock ship with a family of peg doll astronauts. I am clueless as to why I hadn't crafted with bottles before! no construction and prep you just paint and go! such an ideal choice for after school crafts and weekend creative activities

I have a fair few craft books lining the craft-nook shelves at this stage, some I like to just gaze at, others I find great for learning new techniques and materials. My absolute go-to book for after school crafts and weekend activity inspiration with Molly for the past month is 101 Kids Activities by Holly Homer and Rachel Miller
I have a long-standing love affair with Etsy, especially between now and Christmas when I'm window shopping for special gifts for friends. So this week I'm sharing some of the handmade goodness that recently caught my eye. Etsy finds are always by favourite finds :)
I think the cutest and quickest bit of crafting fun I enjoyed this weekend was with some LEGO Hacks - I discovered on Pinterest last week that LEGO MiniFig hands are the perfect size for holding iphone, ipad cables!! Using LEGO minifigs to organize computer cords never ever crossed my mind. Until now!!!! So meet my new deputy chief of craft room cabelling.... I just love his slightly sarcastic I'm better than this face :)
Turn family and pet photos into fun moveable craft stick puppets for impromptu puppets shows - a simple craft for kids involving photography, cutting, gluing and limitless storytelling. Best family fun
mollymoo store finds I think there's only two weeks to go before Molly goes back to school so I'm off for a screen-free weekend to spend entirely at her precious side, so I hope you won’t mind if I leave you with five of my favourite store finds at the moment. Enjoy! xo Michelle
THE slickest most elegantly designed ipad pencil ever. My colleague bought this FiftyThree Pencil last week so I had the pleasure of holding and playing with it for a little while. The artisanally crafted walnut is delicious to the touch!! I've put it on {my} santa list :)
Check out this super simple way to turn wooden pegs into adorable peg dolls for all kinds of imaginative play. Gluing, yarn wrapping and pom pom fun for kids age 2+
I forget all too often to take time out and recharge the batteries. Between my commercial graphic and website design work and then crafting and blogging in the evenings and weekends it sometimes feels like I am always in front of a screen of some sort. So last week Molly, DaddyMoo and I took ourselves off to a quaint little self-catering nest on Valentia Island, no wifi for miles, just fresh air, sand, walks and chats - a screen free retreat - and I feel great

Disposable Cup Crafts For Kids I have no idea why it took me so long to discover foam cup crafts until now! it’s the simplest and cheapest of materials to play with – and such easy handling for the smallest of hands. I’ve just created two cup animal sets – a Safari Set of three [&hellip
Molly loves to journal, secret journal that is, top secret stuff that only her very best friend is allowed to read! It’s very sweet and frightening at the same time as my baby is growing up ‘way’ too fast. Slow down baby girl, slow down. To break up a little summer holiday boredom when the [&hellip
