“I’ll draw the pictures, you draw the words”

This week’s ‘craze’ in our house is to write and draw our own stories. What better children’s book can there be than one written in their own words and illustrated by their own hand. (keep it up Molly – I fancy living off your royalties :)

Molly makes up the stories, drawing each scene as she goes, and I sit beside her frantically writing the story down, trying to get it word for word. It’s a hoot listening to the crazy twists and turns of the improvised plots. Lastnight’s story was ‘The witch who got stuck in a chimney”- a delightful character with one eye, pointy nose and a rectangle hat…
