‘Pretend Ellie’ Did It!!
M has had this imaginary friend for over six months now, but today ‘Pretend Ellie’ became a duck!! M’s little friend is the ‘naughty’ one that does some of the things M doesn’t want to own up to, or would perhaps like to do. I think the duck help’s M avoid getting into trouble because when something is spilled or the PollyPockets are all over the floor ‘Pretend Ellie did it’. I know M lives in her own little world, totally content to play away for hours chatting and singing, dancing like and flamingo and then like a treetop (thanks to Lucy in her creative dance class) but I wonder is her imaginary friend just M being resourceful and creative or do I have too many rules ? Whatever the reason I love it… and think I’ll set a table for ‘the duck’ at the table from now on.

Having an invisible friend like ‘Pretend Ellie’ will make Molly’s long trips to the moon and back a little less lonely :)
