Cardboard Reindeer Craft

How to make a Cardboard Snowboarding Reindeer
in four simple steps

-
Print the free template and then just Cut, Glue and Paint
all you need is cardboard, glue, paint… and a child with a paintbrush :)

Reindeer just love to have fun in the snow before their busy busy night with the man in the big red suit, a chance to let off some steam – On Dasher on Dancer on Prancer and Vixon, Comet, Cupid, Donner and Blitson. Merry Christmas to one and to all! Now dash away! Dash away! Dash away all!

continue on to see how easy this little guy is to make and then let the kiddos off to paint :)

-
First download and print my Christmas Reindeer Template

Step One: Cut
Cut the reindeer out from Cardboard. You need two bodies, two ears and one snowboard

Step Two: Glue
Stick the two bodies together with a layer of PVA glue, clothes pegs will hold them together while the glue dries. Make sure not to put any glue between the legs as shown – he needs all four separate feet to stand up :)

-
When dry use a fast drying glue to attach the ears and feet to the snowboard (I used a glue gun). Curl the snowboard over the edge of a table before gluing down the reindeer legs.

Step Three: Paint
Let the kids paint and *blingify* to their little hearts content – e.g polka dot or stripy jumper, white pom poms for the hat bobble and jumper cuffs. Why not leave little bowls of crafty bits out and let them choose :)

I’d love to see your creations kids when finished so get your moms to photograph and share on my facebook page
