DIY Garden Games

What a weekend!! What a weekend!!
all the ingredients were there for a wonderfully fun filled two days – sun, sun, sun and a few smallies with a penchant for squealing….. oh and water and a slide of course!!

On a whim, to cool Molly down, I re-purposed a large plastic snakes and ladders playmat and stretched it out from the foot of the slide. I wheeled over the hose reel and got everything set to provide a nice easy flowing stream down to the slide. M took off to find her swimsuit……. diy garden games don’t come much better that this :)

God help anyone sitting down for a peaceful afternoon in the garden with a book and glass of Rose for a three mile radius…… for what ensued for three hours was sheer unleashed delight of three young and high pitched girls, aged 3yr to 7yrs.

The simple joy of being able to play outside, in their suimsuits, for practically the first time in their young lives was overwhelming for them. High pitched squeals everytime they hit the freezing cold splash puddles that gathered at the base of the slide were guaranteed, as were the uncontrollable giggles from three little girls, who *like* giggling as they chased giant bubbles into the trees :)

When everyone was dried off and warmed up we moved on to build a tent, for picnics and playing dollies in the shade.

What a weekend!! What a weekend!! Bliss :)
