Easter Bonnet Parade
Easter arrived early at Molly’s montessori school today, with a burst of colour, as the kids held a little Easter Bonnet Parade (Molly kept pronouncing it ‘Easter Vomit’!!). Their chuffed little heads were adorned with a whole assortment of daffodils, ducks, chicks, eggs and ribbons. Thanks Teacher Ann – and well done mums! Molly’s one is top left :)
another of the lovely creations – this one looks good enough to eat…
Molly’s bonnet was made with shredded green crepe paper. The little chicks were made from foam eggs – I cut the narrow end off so they would stay in place when glued. The wings and beaks were cut out of craft paper. The pine cone, feathers, leaves and sticks were gathered during a scavenger hunt in Dromoland woods. I’m still finding bits of green paper everywhere but that’s what the hoover is for!! …thanks for the homework Ann!!
