Hama Templates
A mum of one of M’s friends recommended Hama to me recently – knowing that M likes all things teeny tiny. She showed me a drawer full of the pieces her daughter had made. I picked up a small starter kit for €3 but all Molly was interested in making was ‘a princess’, and of course there was no picture of a princess on the box, so I took to the internet…found a template showing the bead pattern, printed it out and about ten minutes later we had a princess. I hung it from one of those cheap freebie magazine necklaces and she has been wearing her ‘fabulous new jewellery’ ever since.
I have uploaded about 25 bead designs onto the following page – so all you need is to buy a value jar of beads (and a few pegboards if you don’t have them already). I have only seen the Midi size kits in O’Mahony’s and Argos. Amazon and HamaBeads stock all sizes.
