Cardboard Hedgehog Ring Toss Game DIY
A couple of weekends ago I visited a local carnival and had such fun watching the kids play ring toss games. Inspired by my love of hedgehog crafts, and knowing Michelle’s kinda keen too :) I thought it would be fun to make a hedgehog ring toss game diy!
Hi everyone! My name is Leslie and I blog over at PinkStripeySocks. I’m so excited that Michelle invited me to be a craft contributor here on MollyMoo and get the ball rolling today by sharing this super sweet and easy to make yard game with you. Let’s get started!
Here’s what you’ll need to make your very own Hedgehog Ring Toss Game
- Paper
- Pen
- Pencil
- Large piece of corrugated cardboard
- Scissors
- Craft Knife
- Paint
- Paint Brushes
- Pipe cleaners
- Felt
- Glue Gun
- Fabric marker (optional)
Let’s make ourselves a ring toss game!
Draw a sketch of your game and rings on a piece of paper.
Sketch your design onto a piece of corrugated cardboard. Cut out your pieces. (To put things in perspective, my hedgehog ended up being about 2’ x 2’.)
Cover your work area. Then, paint your pieces.
Now it’s time to make your rings. Twist two pieces of pipe cleaner together to form a circle. Then, cut out leaves and flowers from felt. (I used a fabric marker to decorate my flowers). Then, sandwich your pipe cleaner ring between two leaves and hot glue them on. Repeat the same process for your flowers.
Assemble your hedgehog and you’re set!
We brought our little gal outside and had a blast tossing our flower crowns onto her.
Muah!
Hope you have fun making this sweet and fun lawn game for your kids!
Happy making!
See you again soon for more kids crafting fun xx
