International Children’s Gallery
My little baby is all grown up – what started as a project for Irish children age 0 to 13, just over nine months ago, has now spread it’s wings to include all little artists, all over the world. The International Children’s Gallery went live today – an online gallery for our children’s imaginative drawings, paintings and artwork created at home or at school.
My obsession with children’s drawings started with Molly’s first little doodle. I loved every little smiley face and princess with high heels (you can’t fight the pink!). Classroom walls of every school I visited were covered in incredible artwork, but I wondered where do they go once taken down, and did the kids know how creative their work actually was? Creating a online space to showcase the joy and innocence of all our children’s work was the natural step to take – a space where children from every corner and culture of the world can take great pride in seeing their work valued and displayed, and feel like famous artists. Let the smiley faces continue :)
I hope that parents and teachers from all over the world will embrace, support and enjoy this great project. Uploading is sooo quick and easy – just three simple steps…click, click, click
every child’s voice will be heard – no matter what the language :)
