Kids Get Arty – Pigasso Style
The book When Pigasso Met Mootisse by Nina Laden was the inspiration behind one of the most enjoyable saturday kids art classes in June. From listening to this little parody of the two great artists, Picasso and Matisse, the kids got a really funny introduction to the painters and their diverse styles.
They lept at the chance to create their own vibrant and expressive Picasso portraits – and in the process of creating they could free paint on the walls and use a splatter box, Yeah!!.
There was paint dripping down the walls at one stage but we told them to simply ‘go for it’…. and Grainne and I would sort it out later!!
I’m delighted that our fun art session and artwork will be linked-up and shared this Wednesday with the second Kids Get Arty Collaborative Project on RedTedArt, The Imagination Tree, Imagination Soup, Tinkerlab and Mum To 2 Posh Divas.
