Kids Toy Reviews: IKEA Market Stall

I love doing kids toy reviews, especially cardboard toys. I had spotted this one some months ago and waited and waited until someone I knew was going to IKEA to pick it up for me. I really love the genius of cardboard toys and this market stall ticked all the boxes for me. After an initial ‘duh’ moment when looking through the assembly instructions I got into the swing of things and had the stall up and ready for Molly to play with in about 15mins – I’m sure that’s not an IKEA record!!!IKEA-market-stall-full

Since the Market Stand arrived in our house not a day has gone by without Miss7 playing with it – she shuffles it from doorway to doorway as the merchandise changes – from teddies to shoes and craft supplies. I love nothing more that to eavesdrop on her playing, telling her ‘customers’ that she’s “not getting Lego Friends pencils in until Thursday” or that she’s “stopped selling chickens” :)
The market stall is a fantastic springboard for imagination, I cannot recommend it highly enough. Molly is a very tall 7yr old and as you can see there’s plenty of growing room for play left – although it doesn’t seem she has heard of the recession… her prices are very very high, many many zeros :)

The market stand is available direct from IKEA for just €12, make sure to put it on the Santa list.
