Halloween Crafts

The trick-or-treating hour is drawing ever closer so here’s some last minute costume ideas, party ideas, free printables and goolish treats.

Giant twig & wool spider web

Only two more sleeps to Halloween – just enough time for a final creepy craft :)
Twig and wool spider webs have been big in the craft world over the past few weeks so I just had to try one too….

‘Mr Creepy’ is menacingly dangling to the right of the front door, above the doorbell, waiting to pounce – I don’t expect any callers!!! :)

Cupcakes & Mobiles

I’m a big fan of cupcake wrappers and toppers at the moment – easier than icing!, perfect for themed parties or just when trying hard to sell the healthy carrot variety!

I created a few Halloween designs for MollyMoo readers over the past few days (confused the heck out of poor Molly this evening when taking this photograph – she thought it was Halloween and dressed up as a fairy!!)  So download away…

Simple Face Painting

halloween costumesI’m not a fan of too much face paint, especially around the eyes – what goes on has to come off right! So here are two simple face painting ideas for Halloween that I thought were cute – I love the touch of glitter on the tip of the nose.

Easy Mask Making

Molly spends her weekends pretending to be someone, or something else, and loves dressing up. She really gets a kick out of masks – they help her get ‘into character’. Here are a few simple ideas for your kids to try at home for Halloween – they can put on a circus show, blast off into space, act like their favourite animal or just scare the neighbours… […]

Spud Print T-Shirts

Get set for Halloween with the humble spud.
Here’s a few nifty ‘and cool’ potato print monster t-shirts that would be easy for you and your kids to create for Halloween – and after. I’ll post the basic how to instructions ’shortly’. (by Robin Rosenthal)

Halloween Shadow Puppets

Here’s a simple bit of fun for the mid-term break – all you need is black craft paper, cellotape and lollipop sticks (or pick up a few extra wooden coffee stirrers next time you’re treating yourself to a self-service coffee)

Simply print out the template and cut round the shapes, or use the template to trace the ‘shadows’ onto a black piece of paper. Download the template here

Paper Owl Mobile

This awesome little guy looks good no matter how the pieces spin. All you need is thread and cellotape to put it together. To make your own just read on and downloadable the template to print and cut out
