Leaping Leprechauns – what’s on?
I’ve been a bit MIA over the past week, sorry – between the anxiety of having a very sick little girl and trying to keep her out of hospital with dehydration, the official launch of the National Children’s Gallery and preparing for a trip to Kenya on the 19th for another pet project Become A Friend it was a bit of a juggle!. (It will be my first time on a plane in about six years and I can’t waaaait!!)
WHAT’S ON that we can look forward to?
here are some of the MollyMoo picks for kids and families
Sat March 19th at 12noon: ahhhh!
Wordless Enchantment & Visual Storytelling
This is a gorgeous and gentle little show for very young kids. The lone actor, Jay Ryan, proudly shows the kids his toys and plants, letting them give his pet piggy a kiss. He blows bubbles, and cleans their shoes with a feather duster. We saw Jay in action recently with his Flea Circus show and he was thoroughly engaging with the kids (and the parents) – I’m sure this show will be even more enjoyable – all together ahhhhh!.
Sun March 20th: Milk Market Mayhem
It promises to be a entertaining FREE few hours at the city’s indoor market next Sunday from 11.30am to 3.30pm.
The line up includes dancing by Flawless dance team, two 40min wizard shows, a puppet show and magic from Leon Anderson, RTE’s favourite children’s magician. Also mingling in the market the kids will be able to see balloon animal modelling, juggling displays, fun costumed characters, a unicyclist and all day music and games with DJ Fahy. (most of the mayhem will be concentrated around lunchtime from 12.30 to 3.30 – if you want to make a ‘strategic strike’). The shops and stalls will be offering all-day family ‘munch and lunch’ deal options to suit all tastes – including some picky eaters hopefully :) click here for more info
