Music introduction for 3 to 7 year olds

The Irish Chamber Orchestra at UL run a great ‘Pre Instrument Year‘ on Saturday mornings – the kids learn about rhythm and music through song, dance etc. It’s cute seeing the kids sit in a circle with the teacher, each with a different percussion instrument, tapping out beats, then marching fast and slow to music being played on the piano. It’s quiet amazing to hear smallies coming out with the word ‘crescendo’. The class will start again Sept 25th from 10am to 10.30 am

I brought Molly two weekends before the Easter holidays to check it out and see how she might respond. She was of course a ‘nervous nelly’, and I needed to sit with her in the group for a while, but I think after a few weeks she would find her own feet. I am definately going to enroll her in September. The contact person is Diane Daly 086 8830085. See you there in September :)
