In an earlier post I featured a very clever portable dolls house made from recycled cardboard. Well here’s an update – you can now get a sturdy playhouse version 105cm high – perfect for a pretend tree house, mansion or hiding shed.
The playhouse, by Dutch designers Kidsonroof, has a door, seven windows and many spy holes. It comes in white for kids to colour, paint and decorate themselves, or with a cat on a tree, a small ant, a rabbit and a squirrel. It folds up really easily and stores away neatly under beds or behind the couch. The cost of the playhouse is €30 plus €9.80 carriage from BubbleTreeHouse. I love that you can easily carry this playhouse out to the garden on nice afternoons without breaking your back.
They also do a new range of flat-packed kids furniture and the most beautiful dolls I think I have ever seen – made from re-used fabrics and beautifully packaged for just €12.50. My closest friend is expecting her third baby in November – these are now top of the gift list (if it’s a girl!)
