My son LOVES sharks, we've made quite a few shark themed diys to satisfy his interest at this stage, the most recent being his very own Shark Valentine Card Box! It was really easy to make and turned out super cute!
I'm probably guilty of creating more 'girlie' crafts here on MollyMoo that crafts for both boys and girls so I'm making up for it right here with these fun and mischievous Toilet Roll Ninjas - a perfect craft for kids to make after school, weekends, at school or ninja themed birthday parties!!
My latest toilet roll craft is so easy to setup and encourages creative play. The simple city stacking toy is just painted paper cores with little slits at both ends to slot and stack in any combination to make dynamic skyscrapers for minifigs and peg dolls
I'm still playing with and getting to know the capabilities of my latest craft toy, the Silhouette Portrait. Creating simple stencils for hand stamped wrapping or stationery is a very practical and 'accessible' everyday crafting purpose for the Silhouette at home
Calling all crafting moms!! you just have to check out this nifty method of converting your children's drawings into really cool DIY stamps. Your kids will love creating cards, notes for friends, wrapping paper or gift tags with their own diy stamps!
Sending Happy New Year wishes to you all. My sincerest thanks to you for reading and being part in my little (blog) story and journey. Here’s a to a fun fun year ahead xx Above illustration is one of a set of new little ‘Molly’ characters I’ve created for the ‘Explore, Make & Play with [&hellip
Getting ready to publish the first MollyMoo ebook very shortly I have been exploring all options for self publishing for the past few weeks and months. On of my favourite platforms is Blurb, who offer a very accessible online platform for publishing print books, magazines and e-books for me, you and everyone, in an affordable and easy way. I love the concept of self-publishing, being in control of the look and feel of your book, creating memorable shelf-ready photo book gifts for grandparents, family and friends, or creating a hardbound book of your children's stories and illustrations - how cool would that be! I've been using Blurb to create mini photo books of Molly's birthdays, the next one will be 'a year of playdates' and for her tenth birthday I plan on making one of all her gorgeous artwork and drawings from when she first held a chubby little crayon.... precious keepsakes for her as she grows up, instead of boxes of loose photos, or a CD of all my iphone photos
I have been wanting to try simple printmaking with Molly for months after seeing Art Bar's cardboard box animals earlier this year. Barbara's project was fantastic beyond belief and definitely one of my favourite art ideas for kids pinned this year. So Molly and I finally got to enjoy a bit of downtime at the weekend to experiment with cardboard, paint, and bits and bobs from around the house, and this is what happened
A little free printables treat for the beginning of all things festive! A sweet reindeer gift box, or treat box, depending on what special surprise you want to hide inside. I love sharing printables here on MollyMoo as a great big Thank You for your continued support for all things MollyMoo and… because cuteness just ‘has’ to be shared!!
