This is the first Duck Tape craft I've published on MollyMoo - makes for very quick and mess free crafting, no need for papier mache, paint or clean-up to speak of! bonus all round. Taking a little break from the sun yesterday to 'make something together' Molly and I fashioned together a pretend-play Shoebox School for Molly's lego friends, the first of a few back to school crafts I had in my head. Her rule was "if it doesn't fit in the door, it couldn't come to school" - so the poor Playmobile characters had to stay at home! the playroom is such a harsh environment!!
"If I wrote a book about you" is hands-down the cutest picture book that has come across my desk in recent months. The book preciously conveys a mother’s love for her child - I wish I had written it for Molly!
Set of three cute free printable summer themed sewing cards to keep kids entertained and engaged when out for dinner or on road trips during summer months. This is an excellent activity for developing fine motor skills and improving hand-eye coordination and concentration

Meet Baby BoBo.... the newest little sweatheart to enter our lives. This cute DIY Baby Doll with swaddling wrap is one of a number of simple sewing projects from new book Sew Together Grow Together by Trixi Symonds. The book, packed with 20 original simple sewing projects and patterns for parents and kids, is aimed at people with no idea how to sew and covers basic 'how to' techniques. Perfect for me then!!! I can just about sew in straight lines and around corners with my cheap-as-chips IKEA sewing machine, so if I managed to make this little cutie.... so can you! Little BoBo just took me about an hour to make, from cutting out the fabric to leaving beside Molly's bed for her to find when she opened her eyes this morning. A perfect project for sewing novices like me or anyone wanting to gift their daughter with a doll made from the heart xxox
It's always the same.... the simple things work best!!! Judging from the reaction to this craft already on Instagram I think this will be a popular craft for girls this summer. All you need to make these colour popping toilet roll bracelets is within your four walls. Get kids sewing with this fun yarn wrapping and simple weaving craft project
My little 8yo miss came home with two paper tube cones from school lastweek, her teacher has us pegged at this stage I think!! hahaha Molly's plan was to make a penguin to give to one of her penguin obsessed classmates, she had it all worked out, I was just the proud mommy watching on! She found little felt pieces left over from an Easter craft kit and my duty was to stand ready with the hot glue gun. This is great isn't it - I can put my feet up for a bit and hand MollyMoo over to Molly.... once I teach her wordpress of course :)
Sitting on the grass wiling away the summer hours making daisy chains is classic childhood fun. Many the afternoon I spent with my sisters threading the pretty flowers and making sweet smelling necklaces and bracelets. I think I'll do just that with Molly this weekend - the chats while we sit and make are always my favourite part of making together :) Being the biggest fans of fairies and fairy crafts in Casa MollyMoo I am super delighted to have Stephanie back with us today with this gorgeous felt variation of the classic, for all year round whimsical dress up fun. I think it would make for a lovely garland for hanging on a little girls bedroom wall too - so so pretty

design finds on mollymooI've been a bit MIA on MollyMoo for the past two weeks, every now and then I loose a bit of my mojo and need to step back and recharge the batteries a bit. Did you miss me ? :) I'll endeavor to get back on track with more crafty fun next week - I have three papier mache balloons drying on the windowsill since lastnight and a few toilet rolls lined up with intent!!! so all is looking promising!! In the meanwhile, here's a Friday Finds roundup of the internet this week, what cleverness caught my eye
It was MissMolly's birthday two weeks ago and her wish was to spend the day with her closest buddies, no big party... phew!! Getting her to stick to 'what to do' on the day wasn't quiet so easy however - she was flip flopping for weeks! So the week before her special day I popped her in the car and we drove around to visit a few places, sampled the delights of a few dessert menus (my favourite part) and eureka we had a plan.... "I defiantly want to do that mom". Looking through the cute photos I had captured on my iphone later I thought it might be really sweet to create a little keepsake photo book for each of the girls, a little album that they can return to in years to come when they're super mature and feeling nostalgic. when Molly handed them out this week the messages of delight that came through from the girls and their moms were great - they loved having 'their own little book'. I will defiantly be doing this again so Molly will have a series of mini books for those special milestones ahead. Happy Days!! Links to recommended online providers at the end of the article
