Pretend Ellie did it
Feeling a bit torn this week – M broke the news that her long time imaginary friend, Pretend Ellie, doesn’t exist!! M’s trusted confidant has been with her for about four years, she started life as a duck! and somewhere along the line transformed into a mischievous little girl. Pretend Ellie was always there to chat to, play good cop/bad cop with and selflessly step-up and take responsibility should accidents and messiness happen.
Of course I was convincingly shocked on hearing the news, an Oscar winning performance for sure.

On the one hand proud mommy is happy that M finally feels she can stop hiding behind Pretend Ellie when something spills or breaks and take responsibility, but on the other hand soppy mommy is sad to see yet another sign that my little girl is getting a little less little every day :(
