saturday silliness

We had a bit of an unexpected infestation of crawlies here today – I have to say of all the bits and pieces we’ve tried over the last few weeks Molly really enjoyed this one. Once I had the shapes cut out for her I think what she loved the most was that she could do everything herself with just some Pritt – no ‘interference’.

Our new house guests are busy hanging around inside the porch now, ready to frighten daddy when he comes home :)

Perfect craft for 3 to 6yr olds. How fun would this be with a group of kids – everyone creating their own silly character (might have to go visiting friends with kids tomorrow!!).

download the template for the spider parts here
via doodle bugs teaching (great site)

I used the template to get the scaling of the head, body and nose about right. The joy of this craft is that it looks better when it’s not precise – just go mad with the scissors and if every leg is a different length GREAT. Enjoy

Here’s another gem for a group or class
