seeing their drawings come alive

It’s no secret that I am a BIG fan of children’s drawings, and have been thinking about making soft toys from Molly’s drawings as gifts for my friend’s kids this christmas (and as keepsakes for mommy :) …the fact that I am utterly useless in the sewing department hasn’t dissuaded me, yet!. I told Molly about the idea at bedtime tonight and she is absosmurfly on-board. She loves the idea of soft toys coming from her drawings – what child wouldn’t. (I have a drawing she did of the little red hen ‘in mind’ but she, in her 5year old adorable way, will no doubt have other ideas!)

This evening, I can’t even remember what I was searching for at the time, I was stopped in my tracks by Child’sOwn – have I bitten off more than I can chew? just look at what this mum can do with a drawing, some fabric and fibrefill.

Seeing these drawings tonight drives me on again to get mums all over the world to share their kid’s joyous drawings and paintings on my other pet project The International Children’s Gallery♡ please help me spread the word.
