St Patrick Day Crafts

On a little bit of a whim today, to relieve the boredom of housework, I made these little felt shamrocks and glued them onto some of Molly’s hair bits to create a hairband, clips and a ponytail tie – St Patrick Day Crafts and Accessories for our favourite ‘day of parades’ !!.

Now Molly might still want a giant green hat on the day, but for now she’s petty taken with an ‘understated’ hairband :)

jump on to see how I made them

They seriously only took about 30minutes.

Start by drawing a series of Ms on the edge of some felt

Then cut them out and thread through the ends – three Ms/leaves per shamrock

Pull the thread from each side tight to draw the leaves together to form a shamrock and knot at the back to secure

With the loose thread tie the shamrock around hairbands, clips.brooch clips etc and I put a dollop of glue on also to ensure a solid fix – “to be sure to be sure” as we say here in Emerald Isle :)
