St Patrick’s Day Games – Leprechaun Slime
What fun I had today watching MissMolly making ‘Leprechaun Poo” as she called it – totally messy green gooey fun, which she doesn’t get to do often enough. Witnessing her enjoy the total freedom to plop, splash, and cover herself from head to toe, and listening to the belly laughs, was just the best fun ever – happiness is :)
Our inspiration came from a recent roundup of 25 Recipes For Play I curated for Disney Interactive – We set out to make stretchy gooey Slime from a recipe by FunAtHomeWithKids but after searching unsuccessfully for basil seeds in five stores we switched our attention to Foamy Goo, inspired by FrogsAndSnailsAndPuppyDogTail. Our take on it was made with cornflour, shaving foam and green food colouring (when I turned by back Molly had poured in the entire bottle!!) – if you want to make proper slime and dough visit the sites mentioned above – they are my favourite Go-To sites for fun science for kids and homemade recipes for play.
St Patrick’s Day Games – The running commentary from MissMolly was side splitting :)
Roll on next weekend when we get to push up our sleeves again – next time I’m remember the apron!!
Play continued through wash-up…. we now had “Reptile Soup”
Into which she grated crocodile trail, lizards toes, some frog burps and a scorpion’s eyeball!!!
I cherish her imagination xx
