Storytime & Fun for 3-8yo
Every Saturday Roisin Meaney (well-known Limerick author of children’s books) holds a storytime session at the Granary Limerick City Library. I took Molly along last Saturday and it was really lovely – she started by reading a story, engaging and involving all the kids by constant eye to eye contact, followed with a few rhymes (that some of the kids knew word for word from being regulars at the sessions) and then she finished by making up a story and sketching out the plot as she went along.
Storytime takes place from 11.00am – 11.30am. Admission is free. Next book reading is on Saturday June 5th.
Roisin is author of Don’t Even Think About It – part of the O’Brien Press’s new Journal series for girls. I haven’t read but here are two reviews:
‘Journals is a series of clever and engaging books’ Anglo Celt
‘If your idea of a good time involves an unputdownable book and a duvet then we suggest you get your hands on any of the Journal series from O’Brien Press – and hit the sack! The three (so far) books are written in the form of diaries and are witty, funny and seriously good. And you can quote us on that.’ Kiss magazine
