Wine Cork Fairy Crafts
It’s been all things fairies in our house for the past few weeks, after a little bit of a lull Molly has been intensely writing notes to her bedroom fairies, and sitting by their doors for a whispered chat before bed most nights. So sweet.
So in celebration of our love for our special winged friends I have two fairy crafts for your kids – starting with how to make cute wine cork fairies to hold in their handie, keep in their pocket or hang from their bed post xx
I have fingers, toes and eyes crossed that her innocent heart continues to believe for another few years – my heart cried a little last week when she came home from a playdate to tell me that her friend’s mums told her ‘Oh yes I bought one of those fairy doors too’ and started asking me if I bought hers, and that if I did she would be so upset – ‘please never lie to me about my fairies mom – they mean too much to me.’ Let them be little, let the magic and innocence be for as long as possible please xx

Here’s all you need to make your very own wine cork fairies:
Wine corks, painted white
Scraps of fabric
Ribbon (make a bow, tying the ribbon in the middle with a piece of thread)
Wool (Cut some lengths and tie them off at the centre)
Black marker
Glue gun

Start by gluing the rectangle of fabric around the centre of the winecork.

I had a little bias and ribbon trim so I added that at the top of the dress – a little bit of fairy fancy!

Glue the wool hair to the top of the winecork, she’s looking pretty…

Glue the ribbon wings to the back of the wine cork.

Make two little dots of the face for the eyes – so simple, so sweet.

Stay tuned for the second fairy craft this week….. a fairy bed made from willow sticks!!
