DIY Cards – Simple Silhouettes
I still have some of Molly’s paint experiments left from our recent afternoon of fun with Melissa & Doug Swirl ‘n Spin Art so taking a break from needle felting, because my poor thumbs needed time to heal after being repeatedly holed by the felting needle!!, I went with the safer option of making some DIY Cards. I always need spare cards at the ready for those birthdays I think of last minute, or late!! and for sending little thank yous here and there, for this and that :)
So looking at the gorgeous and unpredictable paint patterns and contrasts of the spin art squares I decided to try some silhouette options, and here is how they turned out…
For each I just drew the shapes onto the spin art squares with a pencil, cut them out with a craft knife and glued them onto bright white cardstock – I’m working on a few little daft ones for kids at the moment and some seasonal ones for the months ahead….. stay tuned for more ideas and printable silhouette templates!!
