Easter Bunny Paper Weaving
We’re going away for a few days next week for the Easter holidays and I’m planning on bringing a few bits and pieces of materials with us for some evening crafting or for some screen-free distraction when it’s raining – after all it is March in Ireland, so showers are inevitable!!! Simplicity will be our watchword so I road-tested this quick no-mess Easter Bunny paper weaving art activity today to check if it would be a winner.
The materials list is super short:
– bright coloured paper
– scissors and craft knife
that’s it! we’re on a winner already…
I began by drawing a quick outline of a bunny on a sheet of paper and cutting it out. I used this as the template for cutting a few more sheets of different colours.
Next I made a few slices top to bottom along the bunny’s belly (sorry Mr Bunny!!)
With some thin strips of paper I wove the contrasting colours over and under the paper slices.
And voila a few striking bunny paper weaving bunnies to make into a garland or hang in the window for extra Easter pizzazz xx
