Mini Photo Books – Molly’s Birthday Book

It was MissMolly’s birthday two weeks ago and her wish was to spend the day with her closest buddies, no big party… phew!! Getting her to stick to ‘what to do’ on the day wasn’t quiet so easy however – she was flip flopping for weeks! So the week before her special day I popped her in the car and we drove around to visit a few places, sampled the delights of a few dessert menus (my favourite part) and eureka we had a plan…. “I defiantly want to do that mom”

Her day came and went, I had four happy little campers put through their paces and everyone went home happy…. very happy :)

Looking through the cute photos I had captured on my iphone later I thought it might be really sweet to create little keepsake photo books for each of the girls, a little album that they can return to in years to come when they’re super mature and feeling nostalgic. I don’t have any photos of my school years and school friends – it would be so funny to have those now and have a right giggle at what we were wearing!! our hair!! I always find that prints go missing, I’m so bad at creating albums, and photos from my phone and camera just end up stored on my Mac, so I fixed on the idea of creating and ordering a mini photo book, a copy for each of the girls, and when Molly handed them out this week the messages of delight that came through from the girls and their moms were great – they loved having ‘their own little book’. I will defiantly be doing this again so Molly will have a series of mini books for those special milestones ahead. Happy Days!!

How to create photo books of your family memories

There are a number of online companies providing this service, those listed below have been recommended to me by online blogging friends who have used them very successfully for creating family calendars and Instagram books.

The process is SO simple. You just select the type of books you want, select the finish (matt or gloss pages) and then just upload your photos, page by page, scaling each depending on whether you want to have full page photos or have white borders like I decided on. Then you review your book before finally adding to cart.
